Psychiatry Halland is looking for a Chief Physician for the inpatient care in Halmstad

Psychiatry Halland is the administration for all public specialist psychiatry in Region Halland.

This includes psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care. Psychiatry Halland has approximately 900 employees and operations in all municipalities of the region.

The inpatient care within adult psychiatry is its own area of operation. There are two service points: Halmstad and Varberg. The clinic in Halmstad consists of three care departments and an emergency reception; the inpatient care is also responsible for organizing ECT and LARO.

Job Description

The role of Chief Physician for inpatient care in Halmstad is a varied and dynamic position where you, as a leader, are expected to guide the unit towards set goals. You are responsible for the work environment, finances, planning, coordination, quality assurance, and choosing work methods that utilize the skills, engagement, and participation of employees.

You are expected to work together with the medical management responsible and fellow leaders to drive the development of the operations forward. You will be part of the management team and report directly to the operations manager.

The position includes being the head of a total of 20 physicians distributed among junior doctors, ST doctors, and senior consultants at the clinic in Halmstad. The specialist positions are filled, and eight ST doctors are currently in training within the operations. The AT/BT doctors placed at the clinic provide very positive feedback regarding internal training and supervision, which we are proud of!

You will have administrative support such as a scheduler, clinic assistant, AT study director, and ST study director.

You will be employed in a permanent position in your primary profession with a four-year appointment as a chief.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician, ST doctor, or physician with specialist competence in psychiatry. Alternatively, you have another healthcare education at the university level and a strong interest and solid experience in leadership issues. You have documented experience in leading change and development work/projects.

You have the ability to create networks and can lead complex assignments. The role also requires you to be structured, have very good administrative skills, and be comfortable with today’s technical and digital opportunities.

As a person, you are analytical, attentive, communicative, and can collaborate with managers and employees at various levels in the organization.

You can solve assignments both independently and together with others and contribute energy and a good collaborative climate.

Through curiosity and the ability to think outside the box, you engage others in your surroundings.
